movement, founded with heart by Kovini Moodley CA(SA) — one of South Africa’s leading Governance, Risk and
Compliance (GRC) executives, an award-winning risk professional, and a warm, trusted voice for ethical leadership.
Our purpose is simple and close to our hearts: to inspire a generation of courageous leaders who believe that
intelligence without integrity is incomplete.
We exist to nurture ethical thinkers, future executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and changemakers who will
transform South Africa through excellence, accountability and purpose.

Our Story: From Boss Babes to Boss Brains
Every big idea starts somewhere special, and ours started in 2020. Our beloved brand, Boss Babes of South Africa,
launched in the midst of COVID-19 and grew into one of the largest organic, proudly South African community
platforms around.
We’re endlessly grateful for the online home it became and that it has become a space for real conversations,
everyday inspiration, and a community that showed up for thousands of women daily and millions monthly.
As life (and the digital world) keeps evolving, so does our way of showing up for South Africa’s professionals.
Our
name has grown up alongside us, but our mandate never changed: empowering women and future leaders in
professional spaces, with warmth, honesty and heart.

Our goal has always been to stand for our key and core values and empower professionals to take up space and own their
knowledge, tenure and technical expertise in workspaces and beyond.
Through the years we have focused on the below key values that continue to shape our brand and drive awareness on gender
imbalances, Misogyny and other silent pandemics that often fester within toxic workspaces. We will continue to shape and
correct narratives in South Africa and raise our voice for the voiceless to drive transformation in workspaces towards dignity, and
lawfulness.

Social Development Opportunities & Job Creation
The platform is currently run by two young skilled digital interns from disadvantaged communities which creates employment and contributes towards sustainable development opportunities for the youth.
We believe that the youth are the future leaders of South Africa and hence investing in them is paramount to success.
Trailblazing Volunteers:
Our community is made up of a group of committed South Africans across diverse industries, including entrepreneurs, accountants, doctors,lawyers,pilots, teachers, speakers and the like, who share their skills, knowledge and business optimization tips to uplift others and support small business ventures.
Some of our volunteers have mentorship programmes to support young professionals navigate the various fields.
We are always on the lookout for selfless trailblazers who are keen to contribute their skills and knowledge through time investments and activities on weekends and after hours.
